I admit it. I am tired....have been all week.
Usually, I am all about my kids having friends over....so, out of habit I said to Brock, "Hey, do you want to have some guys over for pizza and a movie, after the game Friday night?"
Many times he says "No", this week he said "Yeah, I will ask the guys."
Groan! One more thing...me and my big mouth....
So, last evening, 5 hungry teenagers came roaming in about 10:00. They attacked the pizza, like it was there last meal, and settled into the living room for a movie. And I, exhausted, crashed into bed and slept like the dead!
This morning, as I stumbled toward the kitchen for my morning coffee, I found teenage boys sprawled all over my living room floor sleeping soundly.
I was so thankful they were HERE. At MY home.
I said "Thank YOU, Jesus" that these young men WANT to be at our house. Help me to conserve my energy so that I am willing to have open doors to my sons friends.....to be a positive influence, to model a loving home and have a refuge that say "WELCOME".
